The Challenge
Design and implement a Building Management System (BMS) that monitors and controls the Production Furnaces along with the Power, Water Cooling, HVAC, and Helium Systems from a Central Control Room.
The Solution
United Automation designed a Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View Redundant Server Systems using Operator Nodes for Monitoring and Control along with connectivity. Siemens PLC were used for the Production Furnace control and Redundant Allen Bradley PLCs were used as the main controllers. Remote I/O was implemented for device control using an Ethernet and Fiber Device Level Ring network. The communication protocols used included Rockwell Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, PROFIBUS and BacNET.
